What the shitting fuck?

The tibia and tarsus of a rather large insect leg, presumably from a rather large insect, that I found in my mouth after putting a spoonful of Campbell's Select Harvest Microwaveable Soup (Light Vegetable and Pasta flavour) into my mouth. Please kill me.

This was in the soup I was just eating. The vegetable soup I was eating. It went in my mouth. I did not finish that soup. That vegetable soup. Campbell’s Soup Company, could you please explain to me which part of what sort of vegetable this is? Because to me, it sort of looks, I dunno… A little more like one of these:

I should have thought to stick this next to a dime, but I was too busy being disgusted. But. You would have seen that it is the same length. As a dime. And. I am never. Eating. Again.

Maybe I’ll mail this to them, and see what kind of freebies I can get. And not fucking eat after I get them. Because…

Yeah, I’m going to go wash my mouth out with bleach now.

In conclusion, no:

    My family found something that looked like a Trilobyte in a can of salmon one time, and we sent pictures and such in to the manufacturer. We got a form letter back stating that it was a certain parasite that hosted on salmon and that the USDA/FDA/whomever allows a certain percentage of occurences. We did get like $50 in free coupons though.

    Oh, I know it’s allowable. Insect parts. Rodent hairs. And I’m sure I’ve eaten plenty. But I didn’t know about it while it was happening. It’s one of those bits of knowledge that lives in the back of your head, that you try to avoid thinking about. And then, one day, you’re confronted with the full reality of it. And then you wash your mouth out with bleach.

    At least it wasn’t a finger? Then again, I probably would have noticed that before spoon entered mouth.

    Mmmm… tibia and tarsus.

    I’m going to stop thinking about this now.

    If a vegan and/or vegetarian and/or any other such words (perhaps Legumian?) has unknowingly eaten a bunch of bug parts, rat parts, etc., do they still qualify? Would the happy monks who got sad and turned their backs on the young Hilary Swank in The Next Karate Kid for killing a bug on purpose given her a pass if she stepped on it accidentally?
