The only other language I know how to say pardon in is French. And the French word for pardon is pardon. I’m pretty sure that ignoring someone as a response to genuine friendliness is quite rude, but thanks for the suggestion.

The only time I outright ignore anyone is if they’re begging or obviously fucked up. And often, not even in those cases. Depends on my mood. If I’m in the right sort of mood, I’ll even buy ‘em a beer. Yes, I’m an enabler.

JK, I’d watch the movie Friday. It’s good enough to give you a sense of how to act in uptown, which is to not react at all. :)
